Suggestions are welcome

ProjectCork.org welcomes your comments about the kinds of materials that you are looking for. Historically it was the needs of those in the field that guided our efforts. If and when these are located, they will be posted on the "Cork Board" so keep an eye out.

Literature searches

ProjectCork.org can provide literature searches on request. Or at least we are going to try!

Before making a request, check that the topic isn't covered in the list of bibliographies. Also, try to do a search the CORK database. If you are still unsuccessful, ProjectCork.org will give it a go. Make your request be e-mail. jeankinney@projectcork.org Results will be e-mailed to you within 48 hours.

Note: Please be as specific as possible. Example: I am looking for information about assessment tools for adolescents for use in the criminal justice system. Don't ask "for everything you have on ___." You probably don't mean it.

Getting copies of materials

To secure a copy of an article or a report, there are several options. Contact:

  • the author.
The CORK database includes an address for the author of each article, report, etc. [View in long format to get this information.] Unless otherwise noted, the address is for the first author.
  • your state alcohol and drug abuse agency.
  • a medical library of a medical center in your area.
  • your community library who can secure a copy through interlibrary loan. [There may be a charge.]
